What changed on the 2024 Aston Martin Valkyrie

Car and Driver (opens in a new tab) says the Valkyrie returns for 2024 virtually unchanged, with its carbon-fiber construction and F1-inspired design engineered by race-car designer Adrian Newey. The Valkyrie and Valkyrie Spider share a 1,139-hp powertrain of a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V-12 and an electric motor with a seven-speed automatic. A four-point harness is standard, a six-point harness is available for track use, and both come in a choice of six colors.

TopSpeed (opens in a new tab) says the Valkyrie Spider, introduced in 2023, adds a fully removable roof, and credits the exterior with generating 3,968 pounds of downforce at high speeds.

Recalls and problems owners report

NHTSA lists 2 recall campaigns for the 2024 Valkyrie and no owner complaints. 25V300000, filed in May 2025, covers incorrect-length screws on the rear fuse box closing panel that may damage the wiring harness. 26V359000, filed in June 2026, covers a brake master cylinder seal that can deform on cars built with track suspension, causing excessive brake pressure and overheated brakes.

2024 Valkyrie against the Valkyrie Spider

The Valkyrie and Valkyrie Spider share the same 1,139-hp hybrid V-12 powertrain, so the choice is the roof rather than performance: the Spider's roof is fully removable, while the coupe does not have the removable roof.

Record summary

What to know first

An older, more track-focused Adrian Newey-designed hypercar than the Valhalla (see aston-martin-valhalla): a 6.5L naturally aspirated Cosworth V12 (1,001 hp on its own) paired with a 141-hp electric motor for 1,139 hp combined.

Model-year note

The Valkyrie is a distinct hypercar from the newer Valhalla, sharing no chassis or engine architecture with it. Cosworth built the final Valkyrie V12 engine in late 2024, marking the end of production for both the road and race-track (AMR Pro) versions, so it is not a current-orderable configuration for new buyers, like other sold-out limited hypercars (Ferrari F80, Daytona SP3).
