Car specs, recalls, fuel economy and ownership answers for every current U.S. model

Look up any 2015 to 2027 model year for trims and specs, what changed that year, recalls and owner complaints, running costs, and how it compares with its rivals, plus owner-help guides for warning lights and repairs.

Start with a vehicle or ask a specific ownership question.

Primary sources first. Manufacturer, EPA, NHTSA and IIHS records are attached to the answer they support.

Configuration matters. We distinguish standard, available and package-dependent equipment.

Changes stay visible. Material corrections and model-year updates are logged instead of silently overwritten.

Complete current-market index

344 families, 1,053 named variants and 1,204 exact records.

Every 2025–2026 EPA certification row is kept as its own exact configuration, not folded into a generic trim name — a window-sticker trim and an EPA certification label are frequently different things, and treating them as one is how a real configuration detail goes missing. Each of the 344 model families carries 12 model-specific answers on average, covering configuration, efficiency, maintenance, safety, ownership and buying verification: 3,432 answers and guides in total. When a model-year update or a correction changes a number, the prior value stays visible instead of disappearing, so a reader can see what changed, when, and why it moved.

Warning lights, no-starts, overheating, transmissions, brakes, tires, electrical systems, maintenance, hybrids, EVs and used-car records: each with checks, a safe action sequence and a primary public reference.

Warning lightsCheck-engine light: steady versus flashing

A steady check-engine light usually allows cautious driving long enough to arrange a diagnosis, while a flashing light commonly indicates an active misfire that can overheat the catalytic converter. Reduce load immediately and treat a persistent flash as a stop-driving condition.

Warning lightsWhat to do when the oil-pressure warning comes on

An oil-pressure warning is not an oil-change reminder. Shut the engine off as soon as it is safe, check the level on level ground after waiting, and do not restart if the level is empty, a leak is visible, or the warning remains on.

Stop driving →
Warning lightsCoolant-temperature warning or overheating message

Turn off the air conditioning, reduce load, and pull over promptly. Steam, a red temperature warning, or a gauge in the hot zone means the engine should be shut down and allowed to cool fully before any inspection.

Stop driving →
Warning lightsBattery or charging-system warning while driving

The battery icon usually means the charging system is not maintaining voltage, not simply that the battery is old. Turn off nonessential electrical loads and reach a safe stopping point; the engine may stop once stored battery energy is exhausted.

Warning lightsRed brake warning light: first checks

A red brake warning can mean the parking brake is applied, brake fluid is low, or a hydraulic fault exists. Confirm the parking brake is fully released; if the pedal feels soft, fluid is low, or braking changes, do not continue driving.

Stop driving →
Warning lightsABS light on: can the vehicle still be driven?

An ABS warning often means conventional braking remains but anti-lock control, and sometimes stability or traction functions, may be disabled. Drive only cautiously to diagnosis if the red brake light is off and pedal feel is completely normal.

Feature availability can change by trim, drivetrain, package, production date and market. We preserve those conditions.
