Maserati GT2 Stradale
The Maserati GT2 Stradale is a road-legal version of the MC20 built to celebrate Maserati's GT2 race cars, with a 631-horsepower twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6. Road & Track says Maserati plans to make 914 and price U.S. cars at $312,000; the EPA rates the 2026 model at 18 mpg combined, and there is only one model year to choose from.
What the GT2 Stradale is
Wikipedia (opens in a new tab) lists the GT2 Stradale (2024) as a variant of the Maserati MC20, a two-seat, rear-mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive sports car with butterfly doors, a 3.0-liter Nettuno twin-turbocharged V6 and an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission. Car and Driver (opens in a new tab) explains the reason for it: Maserati builds and sells GT2 race cars based on the MC20 for the GT2 European Series, and to celebrate a series-best 12 wins in 2024 it constructed the roadgoing GT2 Stradale.
What it changes from the MC20
Road & Track (opens in a new tab) says the Nettuno V6, with its Formula 1-derived prechamber ignition system, now makes 631 hp at 7500 rpm. Car and Driver says that despite the carbon-fiber construction and weight-savings measures, the GT2 Stradale is a claimed 132 pounds lighter than the MC20, which by its earlier test means it weighs at least 3,600 pounds. The EPA rates the 2026 GT2 Stradale at 18 mpg combined, about $4,300 a year in fuel, the same figure it gives the Aston Martin Vantage.
Price, rarity and options
Road & Track says Maserati plans to make 914 Stradales, the 1-of-914 plaque referring to the company's founding in 1914, with U.S.-bound examples set to cost $312,000. Buyers who want the full experience can add the Performance package for a further $13,750, which brings track-biased Michelin Cup 2R tires in place of the standard Bridgestone Potenza Sports, an electronically controlled differential and more. Car and Driver's headline calls it a race-car-inspired special that is not so racy, and Road & Track's calls it almost great. Because it is one limited model, there is no year-to-year history of recalls or complaints to compare. See the 2026 GT2 Stradale page.
