Recalls on the 2023 iX
NHTSA lists 12 recalls. Several concern the high-voltage battery: 22V541 says the battery may have a fault that can affect the traction system on 2022 to 2023 iX xDrive50 and iX M60 and some i4 models, 22V944 and 23V295 cover related propulsion faults, and 22V741 covers a transmission final drive gear in one 2023 iX M60. Two concern air bags: 22V240 covers the air bag control module's malfunction indicator light and 23V079 covers a front driver's air bag that may have been manufactured incorrectly. 23V026 covers the pedestrian warning sound generator, which could fail at startup, a compliance issue with federal noise standards for electric vehicles.
EvSeekers (opens in a new tab) adds that a 2025 battery-module recall (25V470) covering 71,286 units across the 2022 to 2025 iX, 2023 to 2024 i7 and 2024 i5 was still working through a phased remedy rollout, so a 2022 to 2024 iX bought soon after the campaign may not yet have parts available.
