What changed on the 2016 Volkswagen Tiguan
Carvana (opens in a new tab) calls 2016 an equipment-update year rather than a redesign, late in the first generation: the regular Tiguan S gains a standard 6.3-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the SE adds standard Bi-Xenon headlights and a panoramic sunroof, and the SEL gains leather upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, 19-inch wheels, sport suspension and driver-seat memory. Auto Trends (opens in a new tab) notes that the second-generation Tiguan arrives the following year.
Kelley Blue Book (opens in a new tab) says that even with a price cut for 2016 the Tiguan costs more than rivals, and puts used 2016 Tiguans at $7,700 for the 2.0T S 4Motion up to $9,150 for the 2.0T R-Line at a dealer.

Owners have filed 96 complaints: air bags with 37, electrical system with 27, unknown or other with 23, steering with 12, engine with 10 and structure with 6.
