Dodge Durango
American Cars And Racing says Dodge is discontinuing the Pentastar 3.6-liter V6 option for the three-row SUV when 2026 models start shipping, going all-V8 in stark contrast to just a year earlier when Dodge and its Stellantis sister companies Chrysler, Jeep and Ram were working toward eliminating all V8s from their lineups; the R/T returns with 475 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque at a price Dodge says will be less than $50,000. Car and Driver says given that the Durango is a Dodge, the lineup wouldn't truly be complete without an SRT Hellcat variant, whose 710-hp supercharged V8 personality it reviews separately, and that despite its age, the Durango feels contemporary inside thanks to making the 10.1-inch touchscreen standard. It says the Durango's warranty coverage falls well shy of the Hyundai Palisade's best-in-class 10-year, 100,000-mile powertrain warranty.
