Ferrari Amalfi
The Ferrari Amalfi is a front-engine 2+2 grand tourer built in Maranello since 2026, essentially a heavy facelift of the Roma according to Top Gear. Its revised 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 makes 631 hp and 561 lb-ft by Motor Trend's figures, and Top Gear says Ferrari sees it as the gateway car that takes sales from the Aston Martin Vantage, Mercedes-AMG GT63 and Porsche 911 Turbo S.
What the Ferrari Amalfi is
Wikipedia (opens in a new tab) describes the Amalfi as a grand tourer produced in Maranello since 2026, a 2+2 coupe with an Amalfi Spider convertible, on Ferrari's FR-L platform with a 3.9-liter F154 BH twin-turbo V8 and an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, rear-wheel drive. Top Gear (opens in a new tab) says the name comes from the coastal region of Italy south-east of Rome, that the car is essentially a heavy facelift of its six-year-old predecessor, and that Ferrari considers it the gateway drug that beckons new buyers into the brand. The 2026 Amalfi and 2027 Amalfi pages list specifications.
Power and price
Motor Trend (opens in a new tab) says the Amalfi uses a revised version of the Roma's 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 producing 631 hp and 561 lb-ft, which puts it almost even with the Aston Martin Vantage's 656 hp and 590 lb-ft and its estimated 3.4-second 0 to 60 time, and that a McLaren GTS costs less, the Vantage offers comparable speed for considerably less money and the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 delivers far greater performance at a lower price. Parkers (opens in a new tab) says buying new includes a four-year warranty and seven years of servicing.
How it drives
Top Gear says Ferrari has produced a competitively priced sports coupe that makes a better noise than it used to while still avoiding an anti-social behaviour citation. Parkers calls it the best entry-level Ferrari in years, and notes that the Amalfi remains a coupe for now, so buyers wanting a convertible would need a Roma at the time of its review.
