Ferrari 12Cilindri

The Ferrari 12Cilindri is a front-engine V12 grand tourer, built in Maranello since 2024 as the successor to the 812 Superfast, in coupe and convertible forms. Its 6.5-liter V12 makes 818 hp and 500 lb-ft, the EPA rates it at 14 mpg combined, and federal data lists one wiper recall on each of the 2025 and 2026 models.

What the 12Cilindri is

Wikipedia (opens in a new tab) describes the 12Cilindri (Tipo F167) as a grand tourer built at Maranello since 2024, a two-door berlinetta or retractable-hardtop convertible with a 6.5-liter F140 HD V12 and an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, plus a 12Cilindri Manuale with a simulated six-speed manual mode. Motor Trend (opens in a new tab) says that like the 812 Superfast it succeeds, it is a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive coupe and convertible designed to recall the spirit of past 12-cylinder grand tourers such as the Lusso and 275 GTB/4, with 818 hp and 500 lb-ft of torque that peak late in the powerband, approaching the V12's 9,500 rpm limit.

Economy, recalls and availability

The EPA rates the 2026 12Cilindri at 14 mpg combined, about $5,550 a year in fuel, with rear-wheel drive. Federal data lists one recall on each of the 2025 and 2026 models, for the wipers, and no complaints. Haute Living (opens in a new tab) puts the car at about $470,000, says Ferrari's order books are effectively full through 2026, and says buyers placing new orders should expect deliveries to stretch into 2027.

How it compares

Top Gear (opens in a new tab) says the 12Cilindri is not as visceral or extrovert as its forebears, which might bother the hardcore, but that hardly matters once you experience what it can do. Motor Trend, in its 2027 review, sets it against the Aston Martin Vanquish, whose smaller 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 produces 824 hp and 738 lb-ft. The 12Cilindri is a naturally aspirated V12 with no electric assistance, according to Autocar India (opens in a new tab), which says efficiency is naturally secondary to outright performance.

Background and safety record

What public sources say about the Ferrari 12Cilindri.

The Ferrari 12Cilindri (Type F167; "dodici cilindri", Italian pronunciation: (Italian for 12 Cylinders); named for its engine) is a two-seater front-engine, rear-wheel-drive grand tourer produced by the Italian sports car manufacturer Ferrari. It was unveiled at Miami Beach on May 3, 2024, to coincide with the 70th anniversary of Ferrari in the American market. The 12Cilindri was awarded the Car Design Award by ADI in 2025.

Specifications
The 12Cilindri has a 6,496 cc (6.5 L) F140 V12 engine, the same used in the Ferrari 812 Competizione, and generates a power output of 830 PS (610 kW; 819 hp) at 9,250 rpm and 678 N⋅m of torque at 7,250 rpm.
Aerodynamics
The car includes a mix of active and passive aerodynamics to improve drag coefficient values over the 812 Superfast. On the rear, the car has a spoiler to improve downforce at high speed.
Performance
Ferrari claims a 0–100 km/h in 2.9 seconds, a 0–200 km/h in 7.9 seconds, and a top speed of 340 km/h (211 mph).
Design
The design is a tribute of the Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona with the black band on the hood that cannot be removed or changed to a different color. The interior is inspired by the Purosangue and the 296 GTB and is the first GT-segment Ferrari to lack an analog gauge.

Q01Is there a best year to buy a Ferrari 12Cilindri?

Federal recall records don't single out a best Ferrari 12Cilindri model year: recall counts across the 2 published model years checked here stay within a normal range of this nameplate's own average (about n/a recalls per year), with no year standing out as notably higher or lower. Recall count is one input, not a purchase verdict. It says nothing about a specific vehicle's price, mileage, accident history or maintenance record.

Q02What are common recall-related problems on the Ferrari 12Cilindri by model year?

2026: visibility/wipers. 2025: visibility/wipers.
