Owners have filed 24 complaints with NHTSA, led by the electrical system with 10, then lane departure with 5 and forward collision avoidance with 4.
EV Seekers (opens in a new tab) says the Ioniq 5's biggest reliability issue is its integrated charging control unit (ICCU), which can fail and leave the car without drive power, tied to a 2024 recall and an extended warranty, and that outside it most problems are software glitches, a 12-volt battery drain complaint and a handful of safety recalls.
