2024 Chevrolet Corvette

GM Authority (opens in a new tab) says the 2024 Stingray receives a variety of small changes for the fifth model year of the C8 Stingray, which was introduced for 2020. CorvetteForum (opens in a new tab) lists the changes owners found: a new case and updated cooling system for the dual-clutch transmission, full-length dual racing stripes now wider and offered with five new colors, and revised engine appearance packages for the coupe and convertible.

Car and Driver (opens in a new tab) says Chevrolet added a suite of standard driver-assistance features across the range, including automatic emergency braking, pedestrian and bicyclist detection, automatic high beams and lane keeping, and that the Corvette uses the Infotainment 3 Plus system with an 8.0-inch touchscreen, a 4G LTE hotspot and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. KBB lists fuel economy from 12/21 to 16/25 mpg city and highway across the range, and EPA rates the 2024 Corvette at 14 to 19 mpg combined and $4,100 to $5,550 a year in fuel, all-wheel drive applying to the hybrid E-Ray.

NHTSA lists two recall campaigns for the 2024 Corvette. 24V418000 covers driver and passenger seat-belt retractors that may lock in a stowed position and become inaccessible, which dealers replace, and 25V536000 covers 2023 to 2026 Corvettes with a left-side radiator and fan combination where excess fuel may spill into the fuel-filler pocket during refueling and leak onto an ignition source, for which dealers install a shield to divert spilled fuel. Owners have filed 21 complaints with NHTSA: fuel and propulsion system with 6, electrical system with 4, wheels with 3, and power train, engine and forward collision avoidance with 2 each. Consumer Reports (opens in a new tab) rates the 2024 Corvette much more reliable than other cars from the same model year.

Kelley Blue Book (opens in a new tab) lists the cheapest 2024 Corvette, the Stingray coupe, at a Fair Purchase Price of $61,700, with trade-in values from about $52,900 to $86,900 and private-party values from about $57,500 to $96,200 across Stingray, Z06 and E-Ray trims.

EPA rates the 2024 Corvette at 14 to 19 mpg combined. The 2024 Porsche 911 rates 15 to 21 at $3,700 to $5,150 and the Nissan Z 19 to 22 at $3,500 to $4,100, rear-wheel drive only. On EPA figures the Corvette is the thirstiest of the three at its top end of performance, while the Z is the most efficient.
