About the brand

About Bentley.

Bentley Motors Limited is a British designer, manufacturer and marketer of luxury cars and SUVs. Headquartered in Crewe, England, the company was founded by W. Bentley in 1919 in Cricklewood, North London, and became widely known for winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1924, 1927, 1928, 1929, 1930, and 2003.

Lineup
Bentley's modern lineup, built at its historic Crewe factory under Volkswagen Group ownership since 1998, splits into three roles. The Continental GT, now in its fourth generation, is the brand's grand-touring coupe and convertible, built for high-speed cross-country driving in the tradition established by the original Bentley Continentals of the 1950s and 1960s. The Flying Spur, a four-door sedan sharing the Continental's platform and engines, serves buyers who want the same performance with rear-seat space and formality. The Bentayga, introduced in 2016, is Bentley's SUV and the brand's first entry into that segment, broadening the lineup beyond traditional two- and four-door luxury cars. Historically the Mulsanne and Arnage served as the brand's flagship limousines before being discontinued, a role increasingly folded into extended-wheelbase Flying Spur variants. On track, Bentley won its class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in every year it entered from 2001 to 2003 with the Speed 8, and a factory-backed Continental GT3 has continued that motorsport program in modern endurance racing, reinforcing the performance credentials behind the Continental GT nameplate.
Motorsport
From 2001 to 2003 Bentley entered the 24 Hours of Le Mans, winning the LMGTP class on every occasion with the Bentley Speed 8, in 2003 it also participated in the 12 Hours of Sebring, also winning the race in the LMGTP class.
